Cookies and Local Storage Policy

Draft updated: · Version 2026-10-01-draft.3

Review draft. This version is not yet effective and does not change an existing agreement.

This policy explains the cookies and similar device-storage technologies used in SnapQuizX, operated by Fiveupclub Inc (FiveUpClub), Wyoming, United States. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Contact: mail@fiveupclub.com. Telephone: +12138293360.

At a glance

  • Sign-in services and local storage keep your account session and requested study features working.
  • Theme preferences, AI-sharing permission and local study history are stored on your browser or device.
  • The website does not integrate behavioral advertising or marketing analytics. Payment, sign-in and source websites have their own storage practices.
  • Clearing local storage can sign you out and remove local study history. It does not delete your cloud account.

1. Technologies covered

Cookies are small values stored by a browser and sent with relevant requests. Local storage, session storage, IndexedDB and mobile app storage can retain information on the device without sending it with every request. Third-party SDKs may manage storage for authentication or payments.

This policy covers storage we use for SnapQuizX. A webpage opened as a quiz source or a sign-in/payment page may use different technologies under the provider's own policy.

2. What is stored and why

Exact keys and storage mechanisms can change between versions. The current functional categories are:

2. What is stored and why
CategoryExamplesPurpose and persistence
Authentication and securityFirebase sign-in persistence; auth/authUser/authToken and sign-in history flags in website storage; account and guest identifiers in app storage.Maintain a requested sign-in session, associate records and support account security. SDK sessions follow provider/session rules; application local-storage values can remain until replaced or cleared. A sign-out may not remove every historical flag.
Display preferencedarkMode in the website; theme preference on the app.Remember display choices across visits, generally until changed or storage is cleared.
AI-sharing choiceai_data_consent_v1 in mobile local preferences.Remember whether you permitted AI processing. You can withdraw this permission in app Settings; a materially changed disclosure can require a new choice.
Study featuresLocal quiz history, answers, saved status and temporary app files.Retain local study records and support requested features. They can remain until deleted or storage is cleared; cloud records have a separate lifecycle.
Payments and sign-in providersProvider-controlled cookies/storage on Stripe, Google or Apple pages, including security and fraud-prevention mechanisms.Complete the transaction or sign-in you request. Names and durations are controlled by the provider and described in its notice.

3. Optional tracking

SnapQuizX's website does not currently integrate behavioral advertising or marketing analytics. The mobile builds covered by this revision disable optional Firebase Analytics collection. Authentication, infrastructure and payment providers still process essential technical records; disabling analytics does not disable those operations.

We do not treat all cookies as essential merely because they would be helpful to our business. Before introducing optional tracking, we will explain its purpose, provider and relevant duration and provide any consent or objection controls required by law. Agreeing to the Terms or continuing to browse is not a substitute for a consent that the law requires.

If you visit another website through a source link or app browser, that website may run analytics or advertising and set its own cookies. SnapQuizX does not control that website's storage.

4. Your controls

You can use your browser or device settings to view, block or remove cookies and site/app storage. You can change the theme using available controls and withdraw the app's AI-sharing permission in Settings. Sign out when using a shared device.

Blocking authentication storage can prevent sign-in or synchronization. Clearing app/browser data can remove local quizzes and preferences and create a new guest identity. Keep a copy of important study material before clearing data.

Clearing local storage or uninstalling an app does not delete information already sent to us or our providers, cancel a payment plan, or erase cloud history. Use account deletion or contact us for those requests. Contact the relevant payment service to manage a store subscription.

Our service does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where a law requires us to honor a recognized privacy opt-out signal, we will do so. Browser tracking signals do not automatically remove storage necessary to provide the requested account or purchase function.

5. Changes, providers and contact

We will update the version and effective date when this policy changes and seek consent for new tracking where required. For questions or privacy requests, email mail@fiveupclub.com.
